Alexandra Park Splash Pad

This project involved the conversion of a heavily-used wading pool into a new splash pad with play areas targeted for different age groups.  Design of the splash pad was finalized based on community consultation and includes a whimsical sailboat feature with multiple upright sprays, spray cannon and ground jets.  

The splash pad also features a fully accessible concrete deck with a fun pattern of colours, seating boulders and a drainage “stream” play element targeted for younger children. Other park improvements include a new water bottle filler, new accessible pathways, shade shelter with picnic tables and new benches.
